Despite wind, rain, fallen trees and electrical cuts etc. you made my daughter and son-in-law's day very special. The food and service was 100 percent first class and the venue perfect for any weather, any day - yes, it would have been great to have sun and the chance to enjoy all the outside facilities but it is too much to expect Cripps Barn to order nature !"

"A short email to express our appreciation for the excellent reception arrangements you provided for our daughter, Sally, for her wedding on 31st March.  We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Cripps Barn and thought the surroundings were beautiful.  We especially liked the newly constructed banqueting area and felt that both catering and service were of an extremely high standard.  We also thought the attitude of all the staff we encountered was excellent: professional but friendly and helpful.  I am sure you will be pleased to know that several guests have since written to us saying how pleased they were with the high standard of the arrangements at Cripp's. In addition, many of our friends who were unable to attend but who have seen photographs of the barn commented on how impressed they were with the unique character of the wedding venue. “I just wanted to send a little note to say a huge THANK YOU!!! for last Sunday.     We had the most perfect day, which would never have been as great had it not been for your wonderful staff and beautiful venue.   Leading up to the wedding, we felt supported and guided the whole way. Considering how many weddings you undertake each year and that ours was such a little wedding in comparison to most, we never felt any less looked after and in fact were made to feel that you believed our day was just as special as we did.   One of the reasons we chose Cripps, apart from the fabulous setting and venue, was because the food reviews we read were really good and the menus sounded delicious. The Mediterranean feast far exceeded our expectations. We had an abundance of comments from guests that it was the best wedding food they had ever had and Michael and I completely agreed!    All of the staff on the day were absolutely fantastic, but we'd like to extend a special thanks to Lisa Marie, without whom the day would never have gone so smoothly. I arrived half an hour late (as we stupidly managed to get lost?!) and I was in a bit of a panic by the time I arrived at the barn. Lisa Marie immediately put me at ease with her calm and guiding manner, which continued following the ceremony and throughout the meal. She even magically managed to calm our crying 18 month old flower girl and actually convince her to walk down the aisle for us! She really was amazing.   I'd also like to say a big thank you to Charlie, who was attentive and professional throughout despite it being such a long day and having to cope with several drunken Australians?! I literally expected a bar person standing behind the bar, but Charlie went beyond his remit going to tables to ensure guests were topped up and happy. He was especially lovely to me, despite not drinking because of my pregnancy, he ensured I always had a drink in my hand.    Everyone was truly impressed with our wedding day and had a fantastic time. Words really can't express how grateful I am you all of you at Cripps Barn for making the day the best day of our lives.   I'm going to recommend Cripps to anyone getting married in the future - there's not a more perfect venue as far as I'm concerned!    Thanks so much again.”

“We’d also like to take this opportunity to say that we had the most wonderful wedding day.  The atmosphere of the barn was perfect for our relaxed and very special day.  The garden flares and bonfire added to this for the evening and gave our guests the ability to sit outside well into the night.   The catering was absolutely amazing.  Words can not express how perfect the rib eye beef and dauphinoise potatoes were.  We are both “foodies” and from the reviews on your website we knew the food would be good but it far exceeded our expectations.  I was fortunate enough to be able to see Mark and the kitchen team the next morning to say a personal thanks however please pass on our thanks again!   Any chance you can find out for us the types of cheese that were in our wedding cake, our guests have been raving about it ever since!   Also, if any future guests are looking for a ceilidh band I’d definitely recommend the band we had and can pass their details on to you if that would be of interest.   So, thank you very much to you and to all the staff for making our wedding day the best ever.”

Our wedding was the joining of two big families and one of the guests remarked that the staff who served at table made them feel that they were part of the family too.  In spite of the fact that, because of the rain photos outside the church were cancelled and we arrived at least half an hour before expected, Jenny and the rest of the staff were great. The barn looked magical and Sue, my friend who did our flowers said that all day the staff had been so helpful and friendly. You certainly have this wedding lark to perfection.  The food was delicious. I am very glad I opted for the bacon rolls because the gleam in the eyes of our guests as your waiters brought in the trays of rolls proved that they were just what was needed at that time.  Once more our sincere thanks for the wonderful service you have provided throughout the whole journey."

"Jenny, the 2 Marks, Felicity, and All the Wonderful Cripps Barn Crew, still on adrenaline and euphoria from our special day on July 30, 2009, I finally have some time to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for our dream of a wedding at Cripps Barn.  Although thank you doesn't seem to even cover it, your venue and staff will forever be cemented in our memory of the most extraordinary day of our lives.  Our wedding was a truly international family reunion with British, American, and Australian relatives taking over the quaint English countryside, and many a time did we hear from all who attended that it was by far the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to.  It poured every preceding day, but on the wedding day, the skies magically cleared to showcase gorgeous blue skies making our photos even more stunning with the backdrop of the barn, gardens, and wheat fields. The warm accomodating staff, the phenomenal food that was in abundance, from the cocktail sausages with Mrs. Bassa's sauce to the burgers, to the salads, and that gorgeous lemon tart with homemade ice cream that we're still getting comments about!  Even the evening meal at the end of the night was truly remarkable with the most exotic, lovely fruits and cheeses.  And then came the evening, when the bonfire was lit, the flares were a-glow, and the barn came to life with everyone dancing under the incredible light show of the barn's starry stone walls.   Looking at our photos and video now, we are still savoring every moment and can't believe the magnitude of how Cripps Barn completed our day.  We are forever grateful."
